Flavors of Atlanta

Yesterday was the Liver Foundation's annual Flavors of Atlanta fundraising event. Rosebud, along with 19 other Atlanta restaurants each prepared and served a five course meal for a table of ten guests at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. Each restaurant was encouraged to decorate their table in a way that uniquely represented their concept. We decorated our table with burlap, flowers from Woodland Gardens, Rosebud concert ticket stubs that we had Green Olive Media design, and tie dye gift bags! We served a tuna tar tar with local strawberries, seared quail breast with grits and a coca cola - bbq jus, a vanilla scented Riverview Farms pork loin & seared scallop with a white bean succotash (below), Venezuelan chocolate pate and strawberry shortcake. All were accompanied by Jeff's delicious wine pairings.

The event was much more fun and relaxed than serving a five course meal normally would be, and we got to support a great cause along with our peers from all over the city! Hopefully we helped to raise a great deal of money for The Liver Foundation, especially since those of us in the restaurant industry often don't take very good care of our livers!

The Patio Is Open!

We've been renovating our patio for the last month and it is finally finished! 1397 North Highland has been the home for numerous restaurants over the years, including Partners, Indigo, Horizon and Food 101. When 101 Concepts took over the space, this is what the patio looked like... You can see Ron on the roof! We have come a looooong way since those days.
This is what the patio looked like before renovations:
We have repainted, enlarged, replanted, replaced the chairs among many other things. This is what the patio looks like today!

Our Thursday night live music will begin again out on the patio, starting at 8 p.m. Soon, we will also have live music every Sunday afternoon, starting at 3 p.m. Stay tuned for more details!
